Harneys admits Caymanian lawyer to Bar

Harneys is pleased to announce the admission of Caymanian lawyer Janeen Al-Jadir to the role of Attorney at Law on 20 May 2016, on an application moved by partner Marc Kish.

Janeen is the third graduate from Harneys’ Professional Development Programme (PDP) in Cayman. Janeen joined the programme in October 2014 and has secured a position as an associate within the transactional team at Harneys.

Andrew Morehouse, investment funds partner at Harneys and principal to Janeen during her articles commented: “We are delighted to congratulate Janeen on this great accomplishment. It has been a pleasure to witness her growth during the programme and we are excited she has decided to remain with us after qualification.”

Marco Martins, Managing Partner of Harneys’ Cayman office, added: “We are incredibly proud to have Janeen as our third graduate of the Cayman PDP. As we continue to grow the programme in Cayman we are delighted to have another graduate reach this important milestone in her career. Harneys has since 2014 funded a scholarship that sent a talented young Caymanian to complete her legal studies in England. We also have two new trainees starting in September 2016. We look forward to continuing to work with talented Caymanians for many years to come.”

Janeen was called before Justice Quin, and a packed courtroom of family, friends and colleagues witnessed the event.

Harneys continues its commitment to support the development and hiring of Caymanians as it grows its presence on the island; the firm also plans to announce additional hires in the coming weeks and months.
