Appleby grows funds practice with new hire in Cayman

Offshore legal firm Appleby has expanded its funds practice with the appointment of Sailaja Alla as a partner.

Alla is returning to Appleby having spent seven years with the firm from 2000-2007 in Cayman and Hong Kong before leaving to join another offshore firm. She has spent the last three years at Harney’s and she now has 15 years of funds experience, specialising in the formation, maintenance and restructuring of a range of investment funds utilising corporate, partnership and unit trust structures.

Bryan Hunter, Managing Partner for Appleby Cayman says, “We are delighted to welcome back Sailaja to our funds practice.  Sailaja will be joining an experienced team of funds lawyers and her arrival will assist us in our goal of further strengthening our funds offering and maintaining an exceptional service to our clients.”

Sailaja added, “I am really excited to be re-joining Appleby.  I have seen the firm grow from strength to strength and I am looking forward to being part of its future growth plans.”
