Harneys is pleased to announce that Thomas Gray has joined the firm as a senior associate in the Banking and Finance department of our Cayman Islands office.
Thomas joins Harneys from Deutsche Bank in New York, where he served as Vice President and Senior Regulatory Advisor for six years. Prior to moving to New York, Thomas worked in the London office of Deutsche Bank and in private practice for the law firms Clifford Chance and Freshfields.
Thomas’s area of expertise is structured finance, including complex securitisations and CLOs (2.0 and 3.0), synthetic CLOs and warehouse facilities. He is an experienced speaker at finance industry forums and has authored or co-authored numerous memoranda and policy documents on regulatory matters affecting the industry including CRR / CRDIV (European Capital Requirement Regulations, Capital Requirement Directive IV), the Dodd-Frank Act, the US Basel III capital framework, and the recently updated international banking standards referred to as ‘Basel IV’.
