Cayman Islands, 14 June 2017– Harneys has been named as ‘International Legal Team of the Year’ finalist in the STEP Private Client Awards 2017/18.
Harneys’ network is the largest among offshore law firms with offices in more than 12 locations including Hong Kong, London, Montevideo, Sao Paulo, Shanghai, Singapore, Tokyo and Vancouver. The firm’s global network allows it to provide reliable and timely service including the creation, administration and termination of trusts, international wills and estates, and in contentious trust matters, in locations and time zones convenient to clients.
Through its offering in key offshore jurisdictions including BVI, Cayman and Cyprus, Harneys advises on complex, multi-jurisdictional trust structures.
Henry Mander, Partner and Head of Harneys’ Trusts practice, commented: “This nomination reflects our uncompromising commitment to our clients and our growth globally. We are dedicated to providing a bespoke and timely service to our clients.”
The nomination follows a year of strong growth for Harneys, which has hired private client and trusts lawyers across several of its offices and has complemented its long established British Virgin Islands private wealth practice with the launch and growth of its Cayman Islands practice which was established in 2011. The firm advises on trusts, wills, estate planning and probate advice from these locations and a number of international offices. In February, Harneys built on this further with the launch of fiduciary services arm in Cyprus to complement its global corporate and fiduciary services offerings.
The STEP Private Client Awards highlight excellence among private client solicitors, accountants, barristers, bankers, trust managers and financial advisors. Winners are selected by an independent panel of experts of internationally renowned wealth management practitioners, and will be announced at a ceremony at the Westminster Park Plaza Hotel in London on 6 September 2017.
