The Cayman Registry hosted a Regional Cayman Islands Ship-owners’ Advisory Council meeting in Tokyo, Japan.
The meeting is a forum for the Cayman Registry and its ship owners to have an open discussion and exchange of ideas in order to improve the quality of the shipping industry and the services that Cayman Registry is offering to the industry.
The meeting was attended by Japanese ship owners and representatives of the Tokyo Memorandum of Understanding on Port State Control, Class NK, and Cayman Registry.
Tokyo MoU Secretary Hideo Kubota provided an update on the activities of the Memorandum of Understanding and statistical data including flag state performance. Class NK gave a Ballast Water Convention presentation.
