Professional accounting institute, CIIPA (Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants) has welcomed two new Caymanian additions to its team. Liaison officer Tallyn McTaggart, and operations and regulatory manager Shawn Seymour joined the institute last May.
“It’s off to a great start,” expressed Ms McTaggart. “I’m involved in events planning, which means I have a chance to meet and interact with different people. It’s great to be part of a team where we’re all working towards the same goal.”
Although the two have only recently joined CIIPA, Mr Seymour mentioned that he looks forward to growing within the organisation: “There’s definitely a camaraderie here that I haven’t experienced elsewhere,” he explained. “I can see myself settling down with CIIPA and calling it my home.”
CIIPA CEO, Sheree Ebanks commented on the progress of Ms McTaggart and Mr Seymour: “They have been diligently getting up to speed in our very busy, small office,” she assured. “Both bring different talents to the team and we are very pleased to welcome them to the CIIPA family.”
Formerly CISPA, CIIPA was formed in the Cayman Islands in 1970 and has evolved into one of the largest professional societies in Cayman. A not-for-profit organisation, it prides itself on its role as both an educator and regulator in the finance industry.
