Harneys is pleased to announce a growing presence in Chambers Global, which on Thursday released its annual ranking of law firms worldwide.
“Easy to work with, very well informed and timely”
In Cayman, Harneys has also received recognition, including for its Investment Funds practice, which recently expanded with the hire of funds heavyweight Ian Gobin, and has grown steadily with a number of new hires over the past year. Following its launch in Bermuda just six months ago, Harneys has received recognition for work in the jurisdiction, where it recently added five lawyers and launched a Bermuda Fiduciary practice. Meanwhile, in the BVI Harneys maintains its top-ranked position for both Corporate & Finance and Dispute Resolution work, and is twice the size of any other firm on the island.
Internationally, Harneys continues to win praise, particularly in London, with one client commenting: “They have people with the right skills and availability in your time zone”. The team regularly collaborates across borders to deliver client solutions, including advising Goldman Sachs in a recent US$613 million refinancing of multiple debt issuances, which featured a team of Harneys lawyers from London, Hong Kong, Singapore and BVI.
Harneys in Hong Kong was also singled out for praise, with one client commenting: “The whole team works well together to generate very quick, precise advice in ever-changing circumstances.” Harneys continues to increase the number of its lawyers recognised, and to elevate its global practices. This year, Chambers has ranked seven additional lawyers and four elevated partners.
Chambers and Partners publishes legal rankings on close to 200 countries which highlight leaders in the profession, and are gathered from months of research and thousands of interviews.
